Hello, my dear travelers!

When I’m talking about Balkan, I will always say that Belgrade is, besides Novi Sad and Zagreb, one of my favorite cities. It’s so much bigger than Zagreb, full of dirt and gray tones but this is its main feature. The city of good vibes, domestic restaurants with local music and autochthonous food. It is a city with great nightlife, known for its rafts bars on the rivers Danube and Sava.

This is my third visit to Belgrade and I still didn’t pass every corner. This time we were located in a hostel in the heart of the city, Skardarlija, called Bed ‘n’ Beer. I warmly recommend this hostel because of its location (everything you need to visit is in 10 minutes walking), great and friendly staff and its price. We paid around 60€ for both of us/two nights, what is pretty cheap for the capital.

If you book this hostel, don’t miss to cruise through Skadarlija, bohemian part with lovely restaurants and amazing food. You should definitely visit restaurants Tri šešira and Šešir moj, a perfect place for a dinner with nice live local music in the background.

After lunch, spend your time by walking in Knez Mihajlova, the main street with a lot of shops, cafe bars, souvenir shops. Another perfect part of Belgrade worth visiting is Terazije and Kalemegdan. Kalemegdan is the largest park and the most important historical monument in Belgrade. It is the junction of the River Sava and Danube. Our main reason for this visiting was a music concert of the band Interpol, which was held in Kalemegdan. There is also located a big Belgrade ZOO.

For a coffee break, I recommend cafe bar Koffein, located in the center of Belgrade. A lot of different coffee from all over the world, amazing sweets and tasty smoothies are definitely a thing you need after a long walk in the streets of Belgrade.
Enjoy the photos!
